I've already told you about the Gypsy Picnic (and I hope you'll go!) But the new event on Auditorium Shores isn't the only thing going on this weekend. This Saturday and Sunday, November 6 & 7, is the annual Austin Celtic Festival. It will be held at Fiesta Garden from Noon to 7:30 pm on both days, taking up both up both sides of the park.
The festival hosts many different events, including a History portion with a Viking Invasion, a recreation of La Tene period, Archery contests and demonstrations, and various storytellers. Animals are also present, in the Celtic dog parade, the Roax Crew's heading demonstrations, Mini Horses from Minis and Friends, Clydesdales from Die Gelbe Rose Carriage, and Welsh Mountain Ponies from Primrose Farms. There will also be Highland games, various dance performers, musical performers, and vendors.

This is an interesting topic ^-^
ReplyDeleteI never knew that there was an Austin Celtic Festival, or I might have heard of it but never really learned much about it.
